The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, February 28, 1969


Rev. Theodore Forbes of First Christian church officiated at funeral services 
Thursday for Emory John Friesner, who died Monday.  Interment was at Sunset 
Memorial Gardens.

Bearers were Mark Myszak, Marion Munn, Richard Finner, John Glasson, J. P. 
Christensen and Richard Ransom.

Attending from out of town were relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Friesner of 
Elkhart, Ind., Mrs. John Oswalt and Mrs. Leo Wright both of Three Rivers; Mr. 
and Mrs. Otis Friesner and Lois of Toledo, Ohio; Mrs. Ronald Finch and Mr. and 
Mrs. Robert Friesner of Mt. Pleasant; Mr. and Mrs. John Myszak, Sr., Mr. and 
Mrs. John Myszak, Jr., all of Grand Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Larson, Mrs. 
Charles Ayers and Mrs. William Watkins of Saginaw; Mrs. Walter Lucas of 
Wyoming; William Holloway of Bridgeport, Harold Friesner and Mrs. John Mishler 
both of Constantine.

Friends from away were Mr. and Mrs. Chester Weaver of Midland; Claud McCall, 
Mr. and Mrs. Warma, Keith McCall, W. W. Gumsen, Richard Peckham and Richard 
Hill all of Lowell.

Officers and staff employees of Michigan Reformatory attended in a group as 
did employees of the courthouse.  Uniformed officers of the reformatory served 
as an honor guard at the funeral home and cemetery.
