Ionia Sentinel Standard - March 6, 2011


Virginia Frisbie, 94, of Belding, entered the grace of our Lord on Monday 
afternoon. March 14, 2011 at home under the loving care of her family and Ionia 
Area Hospice.

Virginia was born on Oct. 26, 1916 in Lansing, the daughter of Layton and 
Helena First McDonald. Virginia was a long-time member of Ashley Baptist Church 
and was a leader in the Ionia County 4-H and Brink Community 4-H Clubs. She was 
also a Blue Star mother and a member of the Extension Club.

Virginia was blessed with a long and faith filled life. She was married to 
Donald E. Frisbie and he preceded her in 1980. She was also preceded by her 
parents and one grandson, Tommy. 

Virginia is loved and survived by her children, Crystal (Roger) Packard of 
Orleans and David (Bonnie) Frisbie of Belding; her grandchildren, Philip 
Packard, Sandy (Jaye) Whorley, Rose Packard, Nicole Packard, Helena Jackson and 
Paul (Shawn) Frisbie; great grandchildren, Kyle, Rachael, Desiree, Kim, Greg, 
Austin, Jessica, Riley, Teagon and Veronica; and one brother, Fredrick McDonald 
of Ada.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Ashley Baptist Church, Belding 
with her Pastor David A. Oliver officiating. Committal prayers will follow in 
Otisco Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at 
Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.
