She had gone to Florida in late February with her husband, Melvin, to visit her sister and return her mother to Michigan. Mrs. Fry was a lifelong resident of the Lake Odessa area. She was born at Hastings, March 14, 1926., the daughter of James and Beulah Parmenter Reed, and graduated from Lake Odessa high school in 1944. September 27, 1947 she was married at Hastings to Melvin Fry. They had lived at Woodland the past five years. Surviving are her husband, Melvin of Woodland; her mother, Mrs. Beulah Chapin of Lake Odessa; three sisters, Mrs. Harold Buxton of Ionia, Mrs. James Reusser of Byron Center, and Mrs. Allen Wieczorek of Tampa, Fla.; two brothers, Ivan J. Reed of Schoolcraft and Stanley Reed of Ionia. The body was returned to Pickens funeral chapel in Lake Odessa where arrangements are pending the arrival of her husband and mother from Florida.
