Fuller, Ionia merchant and chairman of the First Security bank board, died at 3 a.m. Thursday at her home at 162 East Main after a long illness. Mrs. Fuller was born in Harwood, Ontario, Canada, February 19, 1888, the daughter of Charlotte Couch Edmison and William C. Edmison. Her father owned and operated the general store and post office at Harwood. She was educated in the Harwood schools and attended college at Rose Neath, Canada. She came to Ionia in 1913 as the bride of Dr. R. R. Whitten who died in 1948. Mr. and Mrs. Fuller were married in Ionia in February 1950. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church and its Women’s Association and Martha circle. She was also a member of Women’s Association of Ionia Country Club. Survivors besides Mr. Fuller are her son, Charlton William Whitten of Glendale, Calif.; her daughter, Mrs. John Tannheimer and step-daughter, Mrs. Joseph Michaels, both of Ionia; and ten grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Myers funeral home with the Rev. George Rentschler of Sheboygan, Wis., former Ionia minister, officiating. Interment will be at Highland Park cemetery.
