J. Fuller, 68, of 11325 Bell road, Clarksville, died Thursday morning at the Provincial House at Hastings following an extended illness. He had been a patient there three months. Born May 29, 1904, near Jackson he was the son of Charles H. and Bertha Brown Fuller and lived in the Clarksville area since 1947. He attended Clarksville Bible church and was employed by E.W. Bliss Company in Hastings ten years and farmed following his retirement 15 years ago. He was married November 8, 1924, to Ruth Edwina Holmes. Surviving besides the wife, Ruth, are three daughters, Mrs. Daryle Pulver of Holt, Mrs. Normand Hatt of Mason and Mrs. William Cook of Freeport; three sons, Milton of Kalamazoo; Gary of Hastings and Rev. Jerry Fuller of Wishram, Wash; 17 grandchildren; six great grandchildren and four step grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Bertha Palen of Jackson; half brother, Holbert Fuller of Bradenton, Fla. A son Edwin preceded him in death June 7, 1956. The body will be at Pickens funeral chapel in Clarksville until Monday morning when it will be taken to Clarksville Bible church for funeral services at 2 p.m. Rev. Elwood Norton and Rev. Jerry Fuller will officiate and interment will be at Clarksville cemetery. A memorial has been established for Ionia county cancer society and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
