The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, July 6, 1937

John C. Fullington, 80, of Berlin township, died Monday afternoon at 3 
o’clock, quite unexpectedly.  He was working in the hay field at his home, and 
was overcome with the heat.

He was born July 29, 1856 in Berlin township within two miles of the residence 
where he died.  He had lived at the farm where his death occurred for the past 
48 years.  He was married in 1889 at the LeValley church to Hattie Goodenough, 
who is his only survivor.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the 
residence.  Rev. A. J. Westmaus will officiate and interment will be at the 
Tuttle cemetery.
