The funeral will be held on Sunday and her remains will be laid to their final rest in Lakeside cemetery. Mrs. Fullerton and son, Charley, have been living in one of Dr. Day’s houses on North Jordan Lake Ave. all winter, just moving into the new residence this week, and had not got settled yet. Mrs. Fullington spent Sunday with her son, George, and was taken to her last home on Tuesday. She appeared in her usual health but that was none too good, as she has been suffering quite severely with dropsy for the past two weeks. Before that time she had been ailing for the past two years. She was found dead in her bed on Thursday morning, and from all appearances her death was peaceful and painless. Mrs. Fullington was born in New York state about 88 years ago. She was early married and moved to Michigan and settled on a farm in Berlin, where she lived for a period of sixty years, or until about two years ago, when she moved to Woodland, but she remained there but a short time, and then moved to this village where she has since resided with her son, Charley. Mr. Fullington preceded his life companion to the grave about 19 years ago, when they lived on the old homestead in Berlin. The kind old lady was well known and well liked, her age weighed heavily upon her for a number of years, but she was resigned to the end, and was fully prepared to meet her Maker. Mrs. Sexton, of Sebewa, an aged sister of Mrs. Fullington, had been planning all winter for a visit with her sister as soon as the roads got in shape for her to stand the ride, and as soon as the weather would permit, so Thursday being a pleasant day, her daughter brought her to town for the express purpose of giving her that much talked of and longed for visit. The roads were quite bad, the aged lady grew very tired and they had to stop and give her a short rest a couple of times before they reached this village, but she held on bravely because she was to have that good visit but her disappointment and grief can best be imagined when she arrived to find that sister cold in death no more to talk and visit as in the past. It was a sad meeting. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/mi/ionia/obits/f/fullingt2645nob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/mifiles/ File size: 2.8 Kb
