OBITUARY
Ferdinandina Louisa Funk, nee Hauer, was born at Rostock, Mecklenburg, germany, 
Jan. 27th, 1841.

She came to the United States in 1846.

She was married to Jacob Funk Nov. 18, 1868. This union blessed with three sons 
and three daughters. One son, Edward, preceding her to eternity. She was ailing 
for some time. In January she broke her leg. In spite of careful nursing she 
failed, and died Tuesday, March 12, at 9:00 p.m. at the age of 77 years, 1 month 
and 15 days. She leaves her husband, Jacob Funk, two sons George and Albert 
Funk, three daughters, Mrs.William Schwalzried, Mrs. John Reiser, Augusta Funk 
and four grandchildren. The funeral was held March 15th at 11:00 a.m., conducted 
by Rev. G.F. Klindworth. Interment was made in Lakeside Cemetery. She was a 
loving wife, a kind mother, a faithful member of Zion's Lutheran Church and of 
the Lutheran Ladies' Aid.
