Ionia Daily Sentinel, 10 Jun 1958

Mrs. Edna J. Furniss, 79, widow of Von W. Furniss of Nashville, a druggist, 
died Wednesday, June 4, at Henry Ford hospital, Detroit, where she had been a 
patient for six weeks.

A native of Lake Odessa she married Mr. Furniss October 14, 1903.  He died two 
years ago.

Mrs. Furniss, a former teacher had served as a member of the board of education 
of the Nashville schools for two terms.

Surviving are two daughters, Miss Pauline Furniss of Nashville and Mrs. A. W. 
Bateman of Detroit; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Gail Johnson, of 
Spokane, Washington; four brothers, Thomas, Royal (Sam) and Frank (Dick) 
Johnson of Lake Odessa and Harry of Knightstown, Indiana.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Nashville with burial in Lakeview 
cemetery.
