Portland Observer, 4 Sep 1895

Theodore Gabriel, formerly a harness maker in this village, died at his home on 
Academy street on Saturday morning last, of catarrh of the stomach, aged nearly 
45 years.  Funeral services were held at the Catholic church on Tuesday of this 
week and the remains taken to Westphalia for burial.  Deceased leaves a widow and 
a large family of children.
