Ionia County News, 25 Feb 1943

Donald C. Gaffney, a former Saranac boy passed away at his home in Glendale,
California, on January 4, 1943, after a long illness.  Donald is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. W. Harvey Gaffney and attended Saranac schools graduating with the
class of 1924.  He has lived in the west the past few years.  News of his death
was received from his sister, Mrs. A.A. Welch of Portland, Oregon.
