CAROL GAGE, 101
   Carol M. Gage, 101, of Saranac, passed away Dec. 5, 2017.  She was born April 29,
1916, in Odessa Township, the daughter of Arthur and Maude (Potter) Shores.  Carol 
married Roy Gage Dec. 26, 1936, in Muskegon.  He passed away Jan. 10, 1978.  Carol 
was a member of Saranac Community Church and a life member of Boton Historical Society.  
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, camping and cribbage.
   Carol is survived by her children Bonnie Kittredge of Lowell, Terry (Judy) Gage
of Cedar Springs, Dean (Connie) Gage of Saranac, Glen Gage of Saranac, Gary (Vicki) 
Gage of Kentucky, Roanne (Jim) Hammond of Kentucky; sister, Helen Houseman of Lake 
Odessa; 28 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; 23 great great grandchildren and 
many nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy, son-in-law John Kittredge,
sister Mildred Sussell, grandsons Terry Gage II, Brian Gage, Brian Harrell, Christopher 
Harrell.
   Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 11, at 2 p.m. at Saranac Community
Church with Pastor Becky Poor officiating.  Interment Oakwood Cemetery.  Visitation 
will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac.  Those wishing may make 
memorial contributions to Ionia Hospice or Saranac Community Church Food Pantry.
