Ionia Standard, 26 Dec 1917

The remains of Mrs. Carrie Gais, wife of Fred Gais of Detroit, arrived in
Belding from Traverse City for burial Dec. 2_.  Mrs. Gais’s health became
impaired a number of years ago while the family was residing in Ionia and she
was taken to the hospital in Traverse City for treatment.  The funeral was held
at the home of Mr. Gais’s mother, Mrs. Caroline Gais, Wednesday, Rev. W.A. Biss
officiating.  Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Harold, of Detroit, and
Elton of Niagara Falls, N.Y.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that she was
buried in River Ridge Cemetery.]
