Hastings Reminder

LANSING, MI – Mark A. Galaviz, age 55, of Lansing, formerly of Lake Odessa, 
passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011.

He was born October 30, 1956, in Hastings, the son of Eligio and Rebecca 
(Vargas) Galaviz.

Mark graduated from Lakewood High School in 1974 and was employed by General 
Motors in Lansing.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Meghan Galaviz.

Surviving is his son, Marc Galaviz; parents, Eligio and Becky Galaviz; 
brothers, David (Kris) Galaviz and Brian Galaviz; sister, Monica (Scott) Lewis; 
nieces and nephews, Carlos Galaviz, Andrea (Matt) DeMonbrun, Tony Galaviz, 
Angie (Clint) Tobias, Alicia Galaviz, Eric Galaviz; numerous aunts, uncles and 
cousins.

A Christian funeral service for mark was conducted on Wednesday, Nov 9, 2011 at 
St. Edward Catholic Church in Lake Odessa.

Memorial contributions in Mark’s name may be directed to the Lakewood Athletic 
Association.
