Lake Odessa, MI- Eligio "Lico" Galaviz, age 76, of Lake Odessa, passed away 
Saturday, May 12, 2012.

He was born December 1, 1935 in Grand Prairie, TX. the son of Filomeno and 
Josefa (Navajar) Galaviz.

Eligio was married to Rebecca Vargas on April 28, 1956. He was a member of St. 
Edward Catholic Church in Lake Odessa and retired from General Motors after 
more that 42 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark, grandson Carlos; 
granddaughter, Meghan; brother, Filomeno Galaviz.

Surviving is his wife of 56 years, Rebecca Galaviz; children, David (Kris) 
Galaviz, Brian Galaviz, Monica (Scott) Lewis; six grandchildren; two great 
grandchildren; brother, Valentine Galaviz; sisters, Josephine (Margarito) 
Salazar, Angelita (Salvador) Lopez, Juanita (Ronald) Richmond; numerous nieces, 
nephews and cousins.

A funeral mass was celebrated on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at St. Edward Catholic 
Church in Lake Odessa. Rite of Committal followed at Lakeside Cemetery, Lake 
Odessa.

Memorial contributions in Eligio's memory may be directed to St. Edward 
Catholic Church, 531 Jordan Lake St., Lake Odessa, MI 48849
