IONIA- Norine Gallagher, 78, died at Ionia Manor.

She was born Sept. 25, 1909 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of John and Margaret 
McNamara O'Neil. She graduated from Catholic Central High School in Grand 
Rapids and Mercy Central School of Nursing in Grand Rapids, and was married to 
Fred Gallagher April 11, 1942, in Grand Rapids. She was employed as a 
registered nurse at Ionia County Memorial Hospital and Ionia County Health 
Department. She was active in the American Red Cross and the Ionia Chapter of 
American Cancer Society.

She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul's Church.

Surviving are her husband Fred; two sons, Michael of Ionia and Garrity of 
Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Tim (Norine) Fletcher of Germantown, Tenn., 
ad Mrs. Charley (Katherine) Fox of Minnetonka, Minn.; eight grandsons; one 
brother, Charles O'Neil of Grand Rapids; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters.

Funeral mass will be offered at 11 a.m. Tuesday at SS. Peter and Paul  Church.

Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

The family will be at the Rich Street Chapel of Cook Funeral Home Monday from 2 
to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Memorials have been established for SS. Peter and Paul Academy and the 
Alzheimer's Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
