Lived But a Few Minutes After He Was Struck by Falling Plank Son-in-Law of Frank Balcom of This City. Fred Galloway, a prominent young Orange township farmer, was almost instantly killed early this afternoon when a scaffold in the barn fell on him. Galloway with several others were engaged in moving an old bar, when the piece of scaffolding fell. He lived but a short time after, death occurring shortly after 2 o'clock. He was about 26 years old, a son of the late Pitt Galloway, and leaves a widow and two small children, Mrs. Galloway being a daughter of Frank M. Balcom of this city. December 23, 1916 The funeral for Fred Galloway was largely attended at the LeValley church in Orange Friday morning. The bearers were four uncles of deceased. Frank, Norman, Clark and Hugh Galloway.
