Gallup, 63, of 408 ½ West Washington street, died early Tuesday morning at his home of a heart ailment. He had been ill for 13 years since coming to Ionia from Cadillac. Born February 9, 1893 at Cadillac, he had spent most of his life as a farmer until moving to Ionia. Since coming to Ionia, however, he had been ill and unable to work. He was a member of the Ionia Free Methodist church on West Lincoln avenue. For three years he was in the United States Army and served during World War I. Funeral services will be held at the Free Methodist church Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Tuttle cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Edna; a daughter Mrs. Leona Utter of Palo, three sons, Glen Gallup Jr., of Flushing, Manley of Ionia, and Charles, at home; a brother, Manley Orville Gallup of McBain; his step-father Ora Beebe of Manton, and nine grandchildren.
