He was a cancerous patient and a great sufferer. His antecedents were always closely veiled, but a last request before being taken to the infirmary, was for W.L. Amphlett to receive and open a letter after death. The letter was handed to Mr. Amphlett this morning by Keeper Gaffney, but contained only the request that he communicate the fact of his death to “Mrs. H.I. Galpin, care of Albion hotel, Edenbridge, Kent, England.” presumably his wife. Interment will be in Highland Park cemetery, by friends, at 10 o’clock on Saturday morning.
