Ionia Sentinel Standard - 19 September 1985
Orin R. Gammage, 89, of Ionia, died at his residence Wednesday.  He was born on 
March 14, 1896, at Snover, Mich., the son of Samuel and Eliza Gammage.  He was 
married to Mary Josephine Roth in 1914 and she preceded him in death in 1967.  
He was then married to Dorothy Miller in 1968 and she died in 1962.



He was an employee of Consumers Power Company for 35 years prior to retiring.  
After his retirement he operated Gammage Electric Repair in Ionia.  He also 
worked at Nelson’s Welcome Orchard.  He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Rose 
Patterson of Ionia; one son Paul Gammage of Port Orange, Fla.; five 
grandchildren nine great-grandchildren.



Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., from SS. Peter and Paul Church 
in Ionia with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.   Parish rosary will be recited 
Friday at 7 p.m. at the Montgomery-Leddick Funeral Home.   The family will be 
at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 pm to 9 pm and Friday from 2 pm to 4 pm 
and 7 pm to 9 pm.
