Lake Odessa Wave-Thurs. June 16, 1977

MASS HELD FOR ANTONIO GARCIA
Antonio R. Garcia, age 74, of 1409 Fourth Avenue, Lake Odessa, passed away Sunday 
morning in Blodgett Hospital, where he had been a patient since Thursday.

He was born May 10, 1903, in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, the son of Juna and Domingo 
(Roblero)Garcia. He married Ursula Granado in 1931 in Texas and moved to Lake Odessa
in 1953 where he was employed by the Lake Odessa Canning Company, retiring in 1972.

Survivors include his wife, Ursula; eight sons, John of Lansing, Manuel of Dallas,
Texas, Jessie and Joseph of Austin, Texas, Antonio Jr. of Stanton, Mich., Frank, Richard
and David of Lake Odessa; seven daughters, Mrs.Michael (Theresa) Silas of Sunfield, Mrs.
Robert (Luz) Garcia, Mrs. Eddie (Frances) Banda, Mrs.David (Mary) Aquinga, Mrs. Ruben
(Delores) Gonzalez, all of Lansing, Miss Lupe and Rose Garcia, of Lake Odessa; 47
grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass was held at St. Edward Church Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.. Rosary was held
at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel where Mr. Garcia reposed. Interment
in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Ionia.
