Ionia Sentinel Standard, 19 Feb 1974

Rev. C. Richard Harrison officiated at funeral services Monday at Lyons Baptist
church for Mrs. Mildred Inez Gardner who died Friday night.  Interment was at
Lyons cemetery.  

Bearers were Larry Treadway, Ernest Bates, Bernard Russell, Jr., Roby Wright,
Robert Sackett and Richard Paetsch.  Acting as honorary bearers were Fred Kidd,
Jr., of the Ionia Sentinel-Standard and Frank Hand and James Hough of the
Lansing State journal, two papers Mrs. Gardner had served as correspondent for
many years.  Organist was Mrs. Lawrence Albright.  Members of the Lyons Order of
Eastern Star were seated in a group.

A dinner was served to family and friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence
Nelson of Lyons by the women of Lyons Baptist church and the Lyons Order of
Eastern Star.
