Ionia County News, 17 Jul 1952

Harold Gardner, 72, died at his home in Smyrna Monday.  He was born in Smyrna
January 11, 1880, and had lived in the vicinity for the past 30 years.  He was a
farmer and barber, and a member of the Smyrna Maccabees and Gleaners.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Jack of Indianapolis and Wayne of Grandville,
and two grandsons.

Service was conducted from Ellis Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon.  Rev.
Applehoff of Grand Rapids officiated.  Interment was in the Episcopal Cemetery
at Cooks Corners.
