Ionia Sentinel Standard, 21 Jun 1955

Nettie Ethel Gardner, 81, died at Robinson Nursing Home Monday at 10 p.m. where
she had been for the last three months.  Mrs. Gardner was born in Paris,
Ontario, August 12, 1873, the daughter of John and Sarah McDonald.  She was
orphaned at an early age and was brought up by her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs.
Henry J. Schild.  In 1896 she was married to Charles E. Gardner.

Survivors are a granddaughter, Mrs. Carroll D. Hatinger, one grandson, Robert
Gardner of Sebawaing and one great-grandchild.  Mr. Gardner died in 1921.

Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Stone-Kauffman
funeral home.  Interment will be at Highland Park cemetery.
