Lowell Ledger, 25 Feb 1971

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Metcalf Chapel in Grand
Rapids for Bert W. Gardner.  Mr. Gardner, 85, passed away unexpectedly at his
home, 6825 Ada Drive, S.E., Wednesday afternoon, February 17.  The Rev. Donald
B. Strobe of the First United Methodist Church was the officiating clergyman at
the last rites.  Interment was made in South Boston Cemetery.  Mr. Gardner is
survived by a brother, Joseph of Grand Rapids; one sister, Mrs. Roy (Hazel)
Spaulding of Belding; and several nieces and nephews.
