Mrs. Fannie M. Garfield, 78, died Saturday, May 15, at 7:30 p.m. at her home in 
Saranac.  She was born January 12, 1876, the daughter of Homer and Jane Tefft 
Goff, in Keene township where she lived until moving to Saranac 35 years ago.

She was a member of the Community church and the Ladies Fellowship club.

Surviving are her husband, William, one son, Carl Peck of Saranac, one brother, 
Bert Goff of Keene, one stepson, Lyle Garfield of Augusta and one stepdaughter, 
Mrs. Hazel Conner of Ionia, and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at Morris funeral 
home with the Rev. Glenn McCarty officiating.  Bearers will be Maynard 
Bartlett, Brice Bale, Minor Carman, Paul Cahoon, Harold Frost and Victor 
Poole.  Interment will be at Saranac cemetery.
