Lake Odessa Wave - Times - August 22, 1924
           OBITUARY

   Ermal Ivar Garlinger was born at Lake Odessa January 9, 1918, and departed from
this life August 13, 1924, 
aged six years, 7 months and 4 days.

   His sweet and loving disposition endeared him to all who knew him; to whom his
untimely death was a 
severe shock as he had been improving in health until stricken with appendicitis.

   He leaves to mourn their great loss his parents, one brother Frederick, two
devoted grandmothers, two 
great grandmothers and three uncles.

  

   We loved him, yes we loved him,

   But angels loved him more;

   And they have gently called him

   To yonder shining shore.



   The Golden Gates were opened,

   A gentle vocide said, "come;"

   And with farewells unspoken,

   He calmly entered home.



   The funeral was held at the home on Friday.. Fev. L. L.Steadman gave a spender
talk and the music was by 
Geraldine Reiser and Mardie Wortley accompanied by Teresa Cramer.The pall bearers
were Oscar and Fred

Lindquist, and Orvin Garlinger and Averd Earl, uncles of little Ivar. Burial was at
Lakeside.

neighbors for the beautiful 
flowers and the kindness shown us during the sickness and death of our darling
Ivar.
