Home Here for Past Six Months For the past 12 months, Jacob Garlinger, a brother of the late Samuel and Benjamin Garlinger of Lake Odessa, has been suffering from a dropsical condition. Until about four months ago he lived in Chicago, but came to Lake Odessa staying for a while in the Samuel Garlinger home. When his brother Sam became very ill, he was moved into one of the Waite cottages where he died. Monday morning only about four weeks after the death of his brother Samuel. Mr. Garlinger resided in Chicago 35 years. He was connected with the M.W. Powell Co., roofers, during this entire time. This company roofed some of the tallest buildings in Chicago. He leaves besides his wife, two brothers and three sisters. They are Daniel Garlinger of Nashville and William Garlinger of Cadillac, the sisters are Mrs. Emma Lucas of Lake Odessa and Mrs. Rose Wachter and Mrs. Gilbert McLeod of Woodland. The funeral was held at the Congregational church Thursday forenoon.
