Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 10 Mar 1955

Hubert Garlinger, 49, former Lake Odessa resident, died Tuesday in Los Angeles,
Calif.  He was born October 21, 1905 in Lake Odessa, the son of Sam and Minnie
Garlinger and spent his early life in Lake Odessa before going to Chicago where
he was employed for many years by the Grinnell Music Company.  He went to the
west coast about 17 years ago where he owned and operated a radio and TV
business in Los Angeles.

Surviving are his wife, Marjorie, in Los Angeles; one daughter, Delores, of
Redondo Beach, Calif.; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Garlinger of Woodland; and one
sister, Mrs. Case (Eva) Wabeke of Kent City.

The body is expected to arrive in Lake Odessa where funeral services are planned
for Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Pickens funeral chapel.  Interment will be
at Lakeside cemetery.
