Daily Sentinel-Standard - Thursday, May 13, 1948

Lewis Garman, 85, of 618 Bayard street died at the Ionia County Memorial 
hospital at 2 a.m. Thursday, where he was taken Wednesday. He had been ill 
for several weeks.

He was born August 2, 1862, in Berlin, and lived most of his life in Odessa 
and Ionia township.

Mr. Garman leaves two nephews, Louis Vandecar of Jordan Lake and William 
Vandecar of Long Beach, Calif. For a number of years he had made his home 
with Mrs. Olive Kenter of Ionia. 

Funeral services will be held from the Myers funeral home Saturday afternoon 
at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. Wayne Davis officiating. Interment will be in 
Highland Park cemetery.
