Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2 Feb 1974

Mrs. Barbara Gerlacher Gartner, 31, of 701 Lafayette died Friday evening at
University hospital in Ann Arbor.  She was ill ten months and the victim of
Leukemia.

She was born May 6, 1942, in Grand Rapids the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Franz
Gerlacher and had lived in Ionia two years before her illness.  She had been a
licensed practical nurse at Blodgett Memorial hospital in Grand Rapids before
coming to Ionia.

Surviving are three sons, Timothy Postma, Edward and Arthur Gartner; daughter,
Lydia Gartner, all at home in Ionia, parents Mr. and Mrs. Franz Gerlacher of
Port Richey, Fla.; three brothers, William O. Schwandt and Ronald Gerlacher of
Grand Rapids and Gordon Gerlacher of Florida.

Following cremation, funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the University
hospital chapel in Ann Arbor.
