Ralph P. Gasper, 86, 2721 Feuerstein Rd., died Wednesday at St. Mary’s Hospital,
Grand Rapids.  A retired farmer, he was born July 31, 1896, in Keene Township,
Ionia County.  He was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Miriam.

His wife, Esther, died in 1977.  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert
(Elizabeth) Partak, Grand Rapids; two sons, Richard and James, Belding; and
eight grandchildren.  Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Mildred Engemann, and a
brother, Theodore, both of Belding.

Funeral Mass will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at St. Mary’s Church, Miriam, with
interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery.  The Rev. Fr. Charles R. Dautremont will
officiate.  Visitation at Huffman Funeral Home, Belding, will be tonight, 7 to
8:30, and Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30, with rosary Friday at 7:30.
