Gasper, aged 92, of Saranac, formerly of Lansing, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2004 in Florida. He was born November 28, 1911 in Otisco Township, the son of Hugo J. and Cynthia Adell (Cowles) Gasper. Donald and his wife Marian were married seventy-one years. She preceded him in death January 12, 2004. Donald was a co-owner of Gasper's pharmacy in Lansing for 30 years. He was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church in Lansing. He was also a member of the Elks, Moose and Lions Club in Lansing. He was president of the Ingham County Retail Drug Association and past member of the Michigan State Pharmaceutical Association. He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Bauman of Orlando, Florida; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Charlene F. Warner. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac with Dr. Lloyd Hall Jr., of Plymouth Congregational Church officiating. Interment in Saranac Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
