The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, February 10, 2009

Arthur N. Gates, age 88, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2009. He was born 
on July 10, 1920 in Ionia the son of Seymour and Maud (McLeod) Gates. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold D. Gates; sister, 
Laura Gates. Surviving are his nephew, Gregory S. Gates of Maryland. 

The Funeral Service will be conducted by the Rev. Den Slattery, Pastor at 11 
am Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at the LeValley United Methodist Church. 
Interment will take place in the spring at Tuttle Cemetery, Ionia. The family 
will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10 - 11 am. Arrangements 
are entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Homes, Ionia.
