Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Friday, Oct. 6, 1978

PORTLAND- Zana M. Gates, 86, of 415 South Grant, died Thursday at Parkview 
Convalescent Home in Ypsilanti.

She was born November 1, 1891 in Portland township, the daughter of George 
Goodwin and Anna Wood.

Survivors include one son, George of Albuquerque, new Mexico, one daughter, 
Mrs. Geraldine Barton of Milan and eight grandchildren.

Services are Monday at 1 pm from the Neller funeral home with Rev. Dow 
Chamberlain officiating.

Burial is in Portland cemetery.
