At an early age his affliction of being unable to freely articulate was noticeable, and doctors were consulted and at about the age of six years an operation was preformed for removing of adenoid growths and tonsils, and his entire recovery was hoped for. Through apparently healthy he was always of a nervous disposition, but had seemed unusually well up to the time when he was taken sick Wednesday evening.Dr. Peabody was called early Thursday morning, but not until Friday did he pronounce the case as scarlet fever. Although he grew rapidly worse hope was not abandoned until Friday afternoon and Dr. McIntyre was called for counsel, but it was too late, for life ha almost entirely left the little body when the doctors got there and at 7:30 he had passed away. Besides his parents h leaves a brother, Dolph ged 7 yrs, Grandma and Grandpa Gattner, Grandma and Grandpa Foght, aunts, uncles and cousins to mourn his loss. Short funeral services were held at the house Sunday at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev. Bostwick of Freeport and the two grandpas acted as pall bearers, and was laid to rest in the Lakeside cemetery. While we miss our little darling we feel God had released him from this life of sin and sorrow. Dearest Aubrey, good night Thy work is done, You've gone to rest With the setting sun. But you will rise With the morning light Of day eternal. So Dearest Aubrey A long good night. CARD OF THANKS We wish to express our most sincere thanks to Mrs.Will Speicher and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Lepard for their services during our sad bereavement and to relatives, friends and K.of P lodge for the beautiful floral offerings.
