Ionia Sentinel, 3 Jul 1930

Fred A. Gaut, 633 Morse street, died at 1 o’clock Thursday afternoon after an 
illness of several months that began with an attack of flu and which was 
followed by complications.  He was in the thirties.  He is survived by the 
widow and three small children, Fred, Nola, and Eva.  His father, Chris Gaut, 
and the mother survives.  Mr. Gaut was a member of the Modern Woodman and was a 
driver of one of the Ward bakery trucks before taken sick.
