Ionia Sentinel Standard, 10 & 12 Nov 1943

Suffering a second stroke in less than 24 hours, Mrs. Daisy C. Gaut, 67, died
Wednesday morning in Ionia County Memorial hospital.  She had been admitted to
the hospital Tuesday evening following the first attack.  

Funeral arrangements are being held in abeyance pending word from relatives.

Born in Lyons township August 6, 1876, Mrs. Gaut was a lifelong resident of
Ionia county.  For the past 35 years she had resided at 461 Allen street.

Surviving are the husband, Christian Gaut; two sons, Percy Miller, of Dearborn,
and Theron Miller, of Grand Rapids; one daughter, Mrs. Harry Johnson , of
Memphis, Tenn.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Harry Ellers? of Indianapolis, Ind.; a
sister, Mrs. Harriet Hannah, of Detroit; nine grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Daisy Gaut, 67, of 461 Allen street, will be held
Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Stone funeral home.  Rev. C.A. Brady,
pastor of the Church of Christ, will officiate, and burial will be in Tuttle
cemetery.
