Ionia Sentinel – Tuesday, 19 September 1939
Mrs. Hazel Ann Gauthier, 47, wife of A. J. Gauthier, of 428 Baldie Street, 
died at the home of her mother, Mrs. Charles Wheeler, of Portland Monday at 
12:30 p.m.

Born November 28, 1891, in Sebewa, she lived in Ionia county all of her life 
and was united in marriage 20 years ago with A. J. Gauthier at a nuptial Mass 
performed by the late Rev. McCarthy at SS. Peter and Paul church.

She is survived by her husband, A J. Gauthier, two sons, Louis, 18, and 
Clarence, 13, a daughter, Genevieve, 16, all at home, her mother, Mrs. Charles 
Wheeler, of Portland, a brother, Floyd Johnson, of Lansing, and a sister, Mrs. 
Alta Kenyon, of Charlotte.

Funeral services will be held at the SS Peter and Paul church Thursday morning 
at 9 o’clock with Rev. H. A. Simon officiating.  The body will remain at the 
Myers funeral home until time for the services.
