The Ionia Daily Standard, Monday, March 22, 1909
The remains of Mrs. Myrilla Gay will arrive her at 11:20 a.m. tomorrow from 
Belding, for interment in Oak Hill cemetery.  Deceased was widow of Aaron Gay, 
who was for many years a cooper on South Jackson street in this city, and who 
died about a year and a half ago.  Mrs. Gary has since made her home with a 
daughter at Belding.  Deceased was aged 76 years, 9 months, and was in every 
sense a fine old lady.  The son Frank was in the city this morning, to make 
funeral arrangements, and immediately upon arrival was handed a letter 
announcing that his daughter, Mrs. Grace Gay Schure was taken to the hospital 
in Detroit on Saturday evening, in precarious condition.  Surely his cup is 
full just at present.  He had been with his mother more than a week, and did 
not know of his daughter’s illness.
