The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, July 19, 1965
Funeral service will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Eggebeen funeral home, 330 
Eastern avenue SE, Grand Rapids, for Mrs. Ethel L. Gayle, 77, who died early 
Saturday morning at Butterworth hospital.  She was the wife of the late Lyman 
C. Gayle, former employee of Michigan Reformatory.  They lived in Ionia many 
years and at the time of her death, Mrs. Gayle resided at 1104 Hermitage SE.  
She is survived by a son, Bill C. Gayle of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, one 
daughter, Mrs. Martin Giaimo of Memphis, Tennessee; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth 
Adams of Ionia; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  Burial will 
be at Woodlawn cemetery in Grand Rapids.
