Mrs. Gaylord made a public profession of religion in 1856, and until the time of her death lived an earnest and devoted Christian. She was for many years a member of the Congregational Church, but soon after settling here she became a member of the Christian Church, of which she remained a member until death took her from the church militant to the church triumphant. She leaves a husband, two sons, two daughters, brothers and sisters to mourn her loss. Her funeral was attended on Sunday at the Christian Church by a large concourse of sympathizing friends, Rev. W. Buel, Pastor of the Baptist Church, officiating.
