He was a resident of Ionia since he came to this country from Poland at the age of 17. The funeral will take place Friday morning at 9 o’clock at the SS. Peter and Paul church. Interment will be in the family lot at Mt. Olivet cemetery. He was a member of the SS. Peter and Paul church and of the Holy Name society. Mr. Gazella was a mill-wright on the old Pere Marquette railroad and for a number of years was employed at the Ionia pottery. He is survived by five children, Mrs. Stella McDonald of Ionia, John Gazella, Jr. of Owosso, Robert Gazella of Ionia, Fred J. Gazella of Grand Rapids and Stephen Gazella of Ionia, and by four grandchildren in Owosso, in addition to Mrs. Gerald Phelps of Lansing, Eileen Fullerton of Portland, Clarence Gazella of Detroit, George McDonald of Pontiac and by one great-grandchild, Gerald Jr. of Lansing.
