Robert Gebhart, 73, died at his home, 933 West Lincoln avenue, Thursday 
afternoon at 2 p.m. after being ill since February.

He was born November 21, 1874, in Miamisburg, Ohio, the son of Jacob and 
Rebecca Gebhart. He moved to Ionia with his parents when he was ten years old 
and married Rose Palmer of Ionia in 1896. She died in 1927. He later married 
Mary Klenk of Ionia, July 21, 1930, and was employed as a tool and die maker by 
the Hayes-Ionia plant for many years as well as for Stafford Manufacturing 
company and Ypsilanti Reed Furniture company.

Surviving him are the widow, Mary; two sisters, Mrs. Emil Rubach of Ionia and 
Mrs. Effie Vizard of Grand Rapids; a niece, Mrs. Mildred Hope of Ithaca; and 
three nephews, Roy Gebhart of Denver, Colo., and Jack and Robert Vizard of 
Grand Rapids.

funeral services will be held from his home, 933 West Lincoln avenue, Saturday 
at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. R. A. Rook officiating. Interment will be in 
Highland Park cemetery.
