Ionia Sentinel Standard, 21 Jan 1983

Ethel A. Gee, 91, 1101 S. Scott St., St. Johns, died Wednesday.  She was a 
former Pewamo resident.

She was born Feb. 23, 1891, in North Plains Township, the daughter of Clarence 
and Frances Bissell. She graduated from Pewamo High School in 1909 and married 
Eric Gee in 1912.  They moved to Pewamo in 1916, operating a grocery store for 
many years.  She was a member of the Pewamo United Methodist Church.

Surviving is one son, Clifton, of Jenison, 10 grandchildren and 25 great 
grandchildren.  Preceding her in death were her husband, one daughter, one 
brother and one sister.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Hull Memorial Chapel in 
Muir, with the Rev. Byron Coleman of the Lyons United Methodist Church 
officiating.  Burial will be in the East Plains Cemetery.
