Joseph L. Gee, 66, of Ionia, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2010.  He was
born on January 23, 1944, in Muir, the son of Robert and Sara Bell (Morgan) Gee.
 Mr. Gee was a member of the Shiloh Community Church and retired from Electrolux
in Greenville after more than 41 years of service.  Joseph enjoyed hunting and
fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Karen in 1990; and brother
Robert Gee Jr. surviving are his wife of 45 years, Iloann of Ionia; children
Mary (David) MacMillen II of Belding, Beverly (Patrick) Slager of Gowen and
Kevin (Jodi) Gee of Grand Rapids; seven grandchildren William Burns V, Wyatt and
Garrett Gee, Connor, Caleb, Carly Jo and Carsten Slager; one great-granddaughter
Hayleigh Burns; siblings, Betty Davis of Muir, Anna Salter of Muir, Beulah
(Wayne) Piercefield of Muir, Sandra Sprank of Ionia, Emily (Butch) Kemp of St.
Johns, Henry (Betty) Gee of Xena, Ohio, and Alma Mills of Carson City; several
nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2010, with Rev.
Kenneth Harger officiating.  Interment will follow at River Ridge Cemetery,
Belding.  The family will receive friends at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Homes,
Ionia from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday.  For those wishing memorial
contributions may be made to Shiloh Community Church in memory of Joseph L. Gee.
