Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Saturday, March 12, 1988

MUIR- Cassie A. Gee, 97, of 222 Garden Street, Muir, died Friday morning at 
Ionia County Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 29, 1890, in Lyons Township, the daughter of Frank and Abbie 
(Stiles) Townsend.

She attended Lyons High School.

She married Hector Gee in December of 1913; he preceded her in death in 1973.

She was known to be the oldest living resident of Muir before her death.

Surviving are two sons, Francis Gee of Muir and Clyde Gee of Lyons; two 
daughters, Namoi Sharp of Haslett and Lillian Mason of Muir; 14 grandchildren; 
19 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Muir Presbyterian Church, the 
Rev. Bette Dobbie officiating.

The body will be at Hull Memorial Chapel until noon Tuesday.

The family will be at the funeral home until noon Sunday and all day Monday.
