CLYDE HARRISON GEE 1922-2016
Clyde Harrison Gee, age 94 of Lyons, passed away Dec. 25, 2016. He was born Oct. 19,
1922 in North Plains township, the son of Hector and Cassie (Townsend) Gee.

Clyde served in the Army Airborne during World War II. He married Joanna M. Kolarik
Sept 1, 1951.

Clyde was a member of the Lyons-Muir church. He enjoyed farming and woodworking.

Surviving are his loving wife of 65 years, Joanna M. Gee of Lyons; children, Robert
(Mary) Gee of Belding, Linda (John) Shaw of Ionia, Douglas (Lori) Gee of Holland and
Deborah (William) Overbeck of Saranac; grandchildren, Brock (Jennifer) Shaw of Illinois,
Bryan (Laura) Shaw of Illinois, Chad (Bethany) Shaw of Belding, Cody (Dana) Shaw of Utah,
Makenzie Gee of California, Collin Gee of Washington, Kristin (Brian) Nichlos of
Brighton, Bradley Overbeck of Saranac and Keri Overbeck of Wyoming; great-grandchildren,
Avery, Allison, Aubree, Andrea, Amelia, Max, Emmy and Marleigh.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son David Gee; brothers Francis and
Richard; sisters Naomi Sharp and Lillian Mason.

Funeral services for Mr. Gee will be held Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the
Lake Funeral Home in Ionia with Pastor Jon Vandop officiating. Interment will be at Balcom
Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral Home Thursday 4-7 p.m. and one hour prior to
services on Friday. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Lyons-Muir church. Online
