Ionia Sentinel Standard - Wed. June 9, 1971

                             Elmer M.Urie

Elmer M.Urie, 55, of Union Portland, died of a heart attack Tuesday morning. He 
operated a taxi service in Portland and was a World War II Veteran.

Surviving are two sons, Kevin and Eugene, and two daughters Nancy and Mickey; 
mother, Mrs.Ella Urie of Charlotte, and a brother Charles of Charlotte.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 22 pm at Neller Funeral Home in Portland. 
Rev.Albert Bytwork of Christin Reformed Church in Charlotte will 
officiate.Interment will be at Danby Cemetery.

Bearers are George and John Bryner, Ben Martin, Donald Hafer, Maurice Taylor and 
Jack Urie.
