In the fall of 1862 she came with her parents to Michigan and in 1869 was united in marriage to Ezekial Gee, going to housekeeping at once on the groom’s farm just southwest of Pewamo, which remained her home until the time of her death. Mr. Gee passed away April 6th 1891. Four stalwart sons were born to Mr. and Mrs. Gee; William, John, George and Joseph, all of whom are left to mourn her loss. She also leaves two sisters and two brothers; Mrs. Huldah McLoud of Ada, Mrs. Itheil McLoud of Dundee, N.Y., John Shoemaker of Lyons and Farley Shoemaker of West Branch. All during the early life and until ill health prevented, Mrs. Gee was an active member and worker in the Baptist church and her best efforts were always at the disposal of those who were in need of help. We extend our sympathy to those who are called upon to mourn her loss and hope they will be comforted by the fact that she has gone to a land where all is fair and sunshine.
